Our Lotus Belle tents are super high quality and roof covers are advised if you camp under trees or simply for longevity. Our roof covers also allow you to add your personal style to your tent as you can choose from a multitude of colours, patterns and materials.
In this blog, we'll talk about why using a roof cover is a great addition to your Lotus Belle tent.
Roof covers serve as an additional protective layer for your Lotus Belle tent, particularly when pitching under or near trees. We strongly advise against pitching under or near trees, but if this is absolutely necessary, then a roof cover is essential. Tree sap is the enemy of canvas!
The roof covers are crafted from fully machine washable nylon, designed to mimic the shape of the canvas roof of the Lotus Belle. Their primary function is to act as a shield from mother nature herself:
While standard roof covers provide great protection and customisability, our X-Wide covers are the best thing yet.
They protect not only the roof of the tent, but also extend wider at the indents to provide cover over the walls of your tent to prevent any dripping from sap or other debris - this extends the lifespan of your canvas significantly, reduces the need for washing the tents, reduces UV damage to the walls, and keeps your tents looking significantly cleaner throughout the glamping season, especially for tents that are for longer. They will change the shape of your tent a little as the roof comes out wider, but it is relatively unnoticeable and the pay off is well worth it.
The choice to use a roof cover is a decision that enhances both the practicality and visual appeal of your Lotus Belle tent. Whether you opt for the standard or the X-wide cover, the investment in a roof cover is an investment in the lasting beauty and durability of your Lotus Belle tent. So, as you plan your next glamping experience or outdoor event, remember that a well-protected tent is a canvas for unforgettable memories.
Lotus Belles are a preferred choice among seasonal Glamping and tented VIP hospitality businesses... because they are proven to be a seriously heavy duty product that will remain in a rentable condition for many years. Most basic Bell tents use a lightweight, 240gsm poly/cotton canvas which may only last a few camping trips before it starts to look tired, attracting mould and degrading quickly under UV. Our motto is - 'tents for life, not for landfill' ... this is in response to the rise of a 'throwaway culture’, with tens of thousands of cheap nylon tents now being used once and abandoned.
