Outback models are designed for warmer climates with zip-open mesh layers on the windows and doors, which allow for maximum airflow while keeping bugs out. They include a seal-in groundsheet to prevent insects crawling in. The Outback also benefits from bigger air vents at the roof apex.
Outback Deluxe models are best suited to dry / hot climates and have 2 doors and 2 windows, a seal-in groundsheet and zip-open mesh layers on the doors and windows (instead of PVC) - ideal for maximum airflow and to keep out bugs.
The Outback Deluxe features bigger air vents at the roof apex, which creates a circular convection current when the doors and windows are open. This draws excess heat up and out of the tent, keeping it cool and allowing the airflow around the tent to remain as regular as possible.
The canvas material is waterproof yet breathable, minimising condensation and staying cool inside when the sun is hot. The doors, windows and blinds can be opened with the mesh layers zipped on to allow a wonderful through-flow of air which keeps the tent very comfortable inside.
This second doorway with the zip up mesh layer is great for keeping cool and can be used as a rear entrance into a toilet or kitchen area.

Porch / Awnings are a great way to extend your living area out front (and also at the rear of any deluxe model). They make a great place for keeping cooking equipment and storage of wet weather gear.
Essential if you are pitching under or near trees, they are made from fully machine washable nylon. These are the same shape as the roof of the Lotus Belle and act as a protective shield.
Regulates temperature and creates a really cosy feel that can also be great to give a facelift to the inside of a tired looking tent.
