Meaning shelter in Cornish, Skovva awnings are made in the south west of the county where the weather is constantly changing! Made using 14oz, polycotton canvas, stainless steel fixings and wooden poles, Skovva are exceptionally well made to a high standard.

The awnings attach to a standard awning rail on a camper van and are held in place with just 6 large steel pegs and webbing straps, giving you a total covered space of 14.5 m2. When using with a van, you can simply un-zip the clever joiner strip, slide it out from the awning rail and drive away, leaving the awning free standing. Because they free-stand, they also make gorgeous covered spaces for gatherings in your garden or out and about...they look so beautiful; like mini stretch tents!

When held out under tension the awning becomes stable and strong in all weathers. The beautiful curves mean that they shrug off the rain, directing water away from the edges and down the wings. Whilst open sided, Skovva remain very sheltered and dry beneath.

Each Skovva comes with a pair of beautiful coloured sail walls in Burgundy. Designed to provide shelter from winds and shade from summer sun, in addition they can offer screening and privacy should you wish for it.

The Skovva connects to a standard awning rail as long as it is compatible with standard size 6mm kador. If you do not have an awning rail and wish to fit one we recommend the lovely folks at camper essentials who sell rail kits that you can fit or have fitted locally.

Each Skovva comes packed in a sturdy canvas bag that measures 70/45/30cms.

1 x PVC sleeve containing 8 x pegs. The pegs are made from 16mm diameter steel and are 40cm's long

1 x PVC sleeve containing 4 x Wooden poles. Poles measure 219cm in height, 4.5 cm diameter Poles are split when packed. Packed dimensions 140/25cms.

MATERIALS

We use 12oz/540gpsm Regentex canvas for our awnings. Regentex is military grade, waterproof, rot proof and UV stable. The edges are finished with polyester webbing and each corner has a stainless steel marine grade o-ring.

All our pegs and fixings are made of steel, and our wooden poles are made with sustainably sourced European timber and finished with aluminum sleeves and pins.
