Micro Glampsites- Get a Return on Investment in ONE season with Lotus Belle

With the huge rise in staycations, many people are eyeing up their spacious gardens or land and considering how to maximise their income.

Micro-Glampsites are springing up all over the country in response to the current climate and fast growing need for UK holiday accommodation. 

One of the first things to think about is costing your micro-business and looking after your return on investment. We've set out the Lotus Belle take below, as simply as possible.

Our recommendation for most UK glamping sites is a 5m Lotus Belle, which starts at £1,790 inc.VAT. It's what we primarily sell for glamping businesses as it can comfortable accommodate small families or friend groups as well as being a luxurious option for a couple. 

If you want to accommodate just couples then we recommend the 4m Original Deluxe Lotus Belle - £1,490 inc.VAT, it's the perfect all-rounder.

If you go for a 4m Lotus Belle, charging £90 per night will mean you only need to rent it out for 16.5 days to get back your investment! Yes, you read that right.

If you opt for a 5m Lotus Belle, charging £110 per night will mean you only need to rent it out for 16.2 days to get back your investment! Can we speak any more plainly?!

We estimate that Lotus Belle Tents keep their prime rentable condition for up to 5 years, normally longer with tender loving care and good weather. That being said, we know sites who have the first tents made in 2012 and they’re still going strong! The tents will need to be cleaned and aired regularly which can be done by you, with a lot of elbow grease, but it’s doable. If you aren’t keen on doing that yourself, UK owners should make a note of The Canvas Cleaning Company, who we personally send tents to.

If you opt for a professional clean to maximise the life of the high quality canvas we use, you can expect to factor in an additional £200 or so per year. But knowing how easily you can cover that… it seems absolutely worth it to send it to professionals!

Lotus Belle Tents come with a two-year guarantee, with the only condition from us is that you keep the canvas free from mould, which is very straight forward with proper care. When kept clean and dry, even with heavy use, the tent will last for many years and are highly desirable to camping enthusiasts who like to own their tent. Second hand Lotus Belles come up very rarely on eBay and easily fetch at least 50% of their retail value.  We’ve seen them advertised from time to time on Instagram stories and they are always snapped up quickly.
