How to make the most of your visit to The Glamping Show 2020

By Hari Seddon Sep 16, 2020

The main event of the glamping calendar returns for another year, offering both a Covid-secure in-person show (‘The Glamping Show Visit’, 17th–19th September), and an online show (‘The Glamping Show Virtual’, 17th–30th September) for anyone unable to attend.

The Glamping Show and its sister organisation, International Glamping Business, know their chips when it comes to glamping. Over the last five years, they’ve gathered data from their shows and websites and, working with industry specialists Crown & Canopy, have created the Pitch Perfect Report. The document offers vital insights into things you need to know about your sector, from what types of accommodation can be found where to how much price-per-night can vary from region to region.

With this in mind, you can be sure that the 40+ speakers they’ve invited to this year’s event will cover everything you’ve been wondering as someone working in the glamping or tourism sector. Want to hear an expert's-eye view on running and building your successful glamping business? You’ll get free online access to the content when attending in person, or when you register for online-only attendance.

The event also includes more than 60 leading brands and suppliers, who will be showcasing their latest products and services. If you’re attending in person, you’re encouraged to make appointments ahead of time to allow for social distancing. If you’re attending online, you can browse items at your leisure, and even request a call back from an exhibitor.

We love that there’s an online ‘Glamping Debate’ as part of the online show: a livestreamed debate, discussion, and networking experience. After all, going to industry shows is about meeting with colleagues and peers in your sector, too — not just seeing products and learning from experts!

Our top three pieces of advice for getting the most out of your visit are:

  1. Make a plan. Once you’ve registered, figure out your schedule. Who do you want to see? Are there any clashes? Can you divide the stalls you want to visit into quickfire clusters, if they’re near one another?
  2. Plan your breaks. No, we’re not joking (we can see the regular attendees nodding from here!) Walking around a glamping show or being glued to your computer is tiring. Make sure that, while planning your time, you factor in snack and stretch breaks to keep your energy levels up.
  3. Bring your inner (or, well... outer) extrovert. This is your best opportunity to mix with your fellow start-ups, industry veterans, and manufacturers. It’s a space to discuss your ideas, learn, discover something new, and help glamping as a sector continue to move forwards.

The show also has an excellent FAQ page should you have any questions. (And yes, dogs are welcome if you attend in person!) And of course: we’ll be there in person and online to help you with the new and exciting ways Lotus Belle can help you with your glamping needs. Catch us at stall 360.
